No matter who is against you, God is always with you

Yesterday when I woke up, I heard deep down inside “I’m with you. From the moment you wake up until the moment you wake up the next day, I’m with you.” It was God’s way of telling me that He was with me all the time. He used a language I could understand easily. He chose words that had a strong impact on me. I love hearing that God is with me all the time but the way He did it at 6 am just hit the spot. It was concrete and it was personal. I wake up with God. I spend the day with God. I sleep with God and He is still there when I wake up and this is the pattern every single day. Friend, God is with you at all times. Even when things are tough at the office, He is with you. Even when you are in pain, He is with you. Even when you don’t “feel Him,” He is with you.

There are hundreds of times of day when your mind checks out and forgets that God is with you. There are hundreds of times a day when God seems to be gone but He is still with you. God is with you and His Word says it doesn’t matter who is against you. We all have enemies. They are agents of the enemy. Any negative agent such as fear, pain, failure, stress, worry, disease, obstacles, darkness and others are enemies. Doubt is a strong enemy that walks hand in hand with fear. Those enemies are relentless and they keep on showing up. They push us in all kinds of directions and their job is to push us away from God. However, God Himself is with us so it doesn’t matter what negative agent is against us. As this new week begins, I want to encourage you to stay strong and proclaim that it doesn’t matter who is going to be against you this week because God is with you.

You might have already felt the weight of your enemies this morning and how they are trying to spoil your day before you even get out of bed. The enemy uses our minds as his playground and he makes his agents play all sorts of games as soon as we wake up. Now, remember that the Lord is with you when you wake up. Thank Him for His presence. Start the day with thanksgiving. It will bother your enemies and it will keep them quiet for some time. Make your thanksgiving louder than their whining. Get into praise and worship. Not only will it silence them even more but it will also bring the presence of the Lord into the scene. The enemy wants your first hours in the morning to be a crime scene where he can steal and rob you of your peace and joy. Don’t give him that satisfaction. Greater is the Lord that is in you than the enemy and his agents. Call in the agents of peace so to speak. Do it by relying on the Holy Spirit. He will give you the fruit of love, faith, peace, joy and patience. Those positive agents will assist you throughout the day. Start the day with the Holy Spirit and maintain your connection with Him all day.

God is with you all day long. The power of the Holy Spirit is with you all day long. Jesus your Savior is with you all day long. The Lord has angels in your corner all day long. They are meant to protect you and help you. You need to be in agreement with God and acknowledge that He is with you all day long. Your agreement should be verbalized. Declare all day that God and His agents are with you. Say it out loud. Say it in your heart. God is with you and that settles all the problems that might arise. Money is tight and bills are piling up. It is happening but what is also happening is that God is with you. He is going to get you out of your problems. Look your problems in the eyes and tell them that the Lord in you is greater than they are. When doubt comes up, shut it down with your positive declaration that God is with you. Persevere and don’t bow down to your enemies. Bow down to God. He is supreme and He reigns in your life. He is not reigning from far away. He is right there with you. He will get you through it all. When your enemies are whispering lies into your mind, speak up and tell them that your God has conquered them. They are defeated and your God is bigger than all of them. God is with you 24/7 no matter what happens to you. Keep that in mind. Let it shape your thoughts. Let your heart sing about the presence of the Lord. Stay in faith and be encouraged. God will never ever leave you!
