10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 123)

You will be fine. The Lord helps you define fine. His definition defies the world’s definition. You will be more than fine. Let the Lord define your situation and put into words the joy and the peace that are coming your way.

God is up to something incredible. Rejoice, dear recipient. What is coming your way is bigger and better than what you went through. Expect great things. Our great Lord is with you every day!

Testify for the Lord. Be His witness and spread love. Bring joy. Be outspoken for God’s justice. Treat everyone equally. Show extravagant love and be a bearer of the good news of the Gospel.

Give people a chance. Someone who was a nightmare can become a dream. God can chance anyone. Think of Saul who became Paul.

God will pierce your heart with kindness and He will make your fears melt and your worries fade away. Let God get ahold of your heart and you will see an amazing transformation!

The dreams you have that are inspired by God are never too big. Your mind might be too narrow to allow those dreams to come in but God can enlarge it. Let your biggest dreams expand your mind and give you God’s vision for your life.

God gives you what you need even if you don’t know you need it. Sometimes it takes a while to realize that you needed God’s plan and that it was the best plan all along.

Jesus walks on water in peace. His heart is not troubled. His confidence is strong. He can walk over all kinds of waters and He is inviting you to join Him. Walk with Him over the waters that have been stirring anxiety and stress. You are above them thanks to the Lord who is holding your hand.

There is a new song you are about to sing. There is a new psalm you are about to learn. There is a new story you are about to write. There is a new day that is about to start. New hope, new love, new faith, new peace. God has something new for you!

The truth will set you free. It will deliver you from the bondage of lies that have been dropping into your mind. God’s truth will set you on fire for the Lord and it will put out the fiery darts of the enemy!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 122)

Don’t worry about earthly things. There are treasures from Heaven here on earth for you. Thank God for earthly things but don’t praise them and don’t worship them. Thank God you are here on earth but remember that Heaven is your final destination.

Nothing compares to You Lord my Savior.

Nothing compares to You Lord my treasure.

Nothing is lord over me except for You my Savior.

No gold is worth more than You, Lord my treasure.

Take the time to be patient. Take the time to wait for God. Take the time to enjoy the time. Take the time to know God. Take the time to give back some time. Take the time to love people. Take the time to thank the Lord for this time. It’s one of the things you won’t get back!

With the Lord, hope has a new meaning. It means what was dead is coming back to life. What was lost is found. What was impossible is possible. Keep your hope in the Lord and your world will change forever!

Love should have no conditions and no limitations. Love should have no judgement and no criticism. Love should see no color and no discrimination. Love should have no boundaries and no restrictions. Love should be free and should never be purchased with deeds and good actions. Love should always be founded in Jesus because He is the definition of true love!

Falling happens. The fall can be rough but every time you fall, know that God is tougher than the fall and He will get you back up. Let Him take your hand and help you up. Jesus fell when He died on the cross but He rose again. You will rise. Your resurrection time is coming.

The fruit of the Spirit grows on trees that are anchored in the Lord. The fruit of the Spirit grows in the lives of those who water the tree with the Word. Let the fruit of the Spirit be your main harvest. You will reap peace, love, faith and joy and many other wonderful blessings!

The Lord is always smiling. He is smiling at you and me. When the world is frowning, turn to the One whose smile is always shining. Focus on His love and turn away from the hatred you see in this world. God’s love will teach the world around you how to smile and how to shine a light a hope where there is darkness.

There is a power in saying thank you before your blessing comes. Thank the Lord for all the things you can’t see. Thank Him for being faithful and true. He will never let you down. He will never fail you so thank Him all the time!

Life is a puzzle. Trust that God has all the missing pieces. He even has the ones that don’t seem to fit anywhere. He makes things work for the best and the pieces that He has will always come at the right time and at the right place.

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 121)

Let the love of God be the ink you use to write letters to the people in your life. Let the Spirit of God help you hold the pen and inspire you to write messages of peace, truth, love, faith and encouragement.

God has not given up on you. He has given you all you need for you to give up on what has been haunting you, bothering you and eating at you.

There is always good news with the Lord. There is always hope and peace. The good news of the Lord can silence the rumors of the world and the fear that comes from the bad news. Tune into what the Lord has to say more than you tune into the world.

Your faith could be a mustard seed today but trust that it will be a tree someday. A tree planted in the solid ground of the Gospel by the water of the Holy Spirit. A tree whose roots are in the Lord and whose leaves are unshakable.

You have a very good Father. His love for His children is out of this world. Let God’s love for you take you through all the stages of your life. Your Father will never leave you. He will watch you grow and He will make sure you blossom as you go!

Don’t let worry take up space that is reserved for faith. Worry is a thief that needs to be arrested. Ask God to help you make the arrest and He will help you keep worry and fear in a jail away from your mind.

“Eventually” will come. Your breakthrough will come. Your answers will come. Your solutions will come. Peace will come. Joy will come. Eventually is in your future. Enjoy the present. Eventually is coming.

The deeper you go into the Word of God, the wiser you get. The deeper you go into the wisdom of God, the more powerful you get. The deeper you get into the powerful knowledge from God, the more peace you get.

Sometimes your hope is just hanging by a thread. That thread of hope is enough to get you back to faith. Know that the Lord is on the other end of the thread. A simple prayer and He will you pull you back up to where confidence and trust reign.

What is hard for us is easy for God. Ease into God’s mentality. Start to see the world through His eyes and you will realize that nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible with God.

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 120)

Keep your emotions on a tight leash. Don’t let them get out of control. Control them with the leash of rebuke. Rebuke them and reject them in the name of Jesus. Use your authority over them even when they come back to bite you.

Your faith might be sleeping right now but God can wake it up. Ask for a wake-up call. Pray and God will strengthen you and revive the mustard seed in you.

God is about to drop things on your lap that you never expected. Keep believing, keep trusting. The best is yet to come!

Check your spiritual temperature and be sure to call on the Holy Spirit if you have a fever. He is the best doctor and the best counselor. He will get you back on your feet in no time!

If we could be more in sync with the beat of God’s heart we would be more in harmony with love, peace, faith and joy.

Give God the microphone so He can speak over your life before you sing songs of sadness and despair. God knows the right tunes for your life and He will change the music that has been bringing you down.

You have God’s support. You’re going to make it. You are not going to fail. Repeat that to yourself as much as you can. God is on your side!

There is a breakthrough around the corner. It is going to come out of nowhere. God is going to show up when you least expect it. Don’t give up! You’re almost there!

God is always listening and smiling. We are often deaf to His voice and frowning. Turn that frown upside down and prick up your spiritual ears. God is always talking so be ready to be listening.

There is a reason for you to celebrate. There is a reason for you to smile again. There is a reason for you to rest. There is a reason for you to love again. There is a reason to have hope again. The reason is Jesus!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 119)

The words of the Lord are more powerful than the words of the enemy but the enemy screams when the Lord whispers. Don’t pay attention to the noise of the enemy. Focus on the peaceful Word of God!

Jesus has the capacity and the ability to bless you and to cover you. He can put a shield of love around you and fill you with love and peace. The world will throw nets of doubt and shame on you but remember that the Lord covers you.

God will take your to a higher level. Expect it. Accept it. Don’t settle for less. You are meant to go from glory to glory. God can take you to a higher plateau. A plateau where blessings are commonplace and peace, joy and freedom are permanent.

Don’t worry about anything. Don’t worry about a thing. Good things are coming your way. God is standing in the way and He will make things happen for you. He is standing there and life has to be filtered through Him. Anticipate blessings from the Father who gives good things to His children.

God might be in your blind spots today but rest assured that He can heal you from any blindness and show Himself mighty and strong. Keep focusing on Him. He is going to show up and show off His love for you!

The truth of the Spirit of God is the revelation of the Person who lives in you and with you. The Holy Spirit is the most caring Person you will ever know. The goal is to get to know Him and adore Him.

The love of God is like a weapon sharper than the blades of hate. His love cuts through the pain of rejection and discrimination. Take out the weapon of love and use it every day. Let it destroy the desires of the enemy and let it be the power that reveals God to your world each and every day.

The Lord can show you your true identity when you let go of your ego and you let God be God in your life. Surrender and be ready to learn. God can teach you more about you than anyone in this world. See your reflection in the mirror of His Word.

The love that Jesus demonstrated on the cross is manifested today. It rose again and it is alive today. Seek His love. Run after it and show it to the world.

The Lord said that the truth will set you free. Embrace the freedom that comes with the truth of the Gospel. Jesus is still almighty today. That is the truth. Focus on the truth and ignore the lies.

Let God be the judge

Every year I get evaluated at work. Most evaluators have to say at least one thing that you need to improve and work on. It’s easy to take it to heart especially when you feel like you have been working really hard. The evaluation idea is a way to help people improve their practice but it can create the opposite effect and get people discouraged. We evaluate people all the time when we compare them to ourselves or to others. Evaluation falls under the judgement umbrella. It’s an umbrella that the Lord wants us to stay away from. He does not want any of us to find refuge under a structure that aims at discrediting others. When we judge others we put ourselves above them. Who are we to say that we are better? What are we basing that assumption on? Unfortunately we have found a refuge under that wrong umbrella in the church. I can’t generalize but every time we pass judgement or we condemn someone for being different, we are under the wrong umbrella. The Lord is certainly not under there with us. He won’t partake in discrimination, segregation, classification, categorization or dehumanization. We dehumanize people when we treat them like they are less important. Celebrities get glorified and homeless people get dehumanized easily.

My point is that we shouldn’t evaluate people if our goal is to diminish others. The other issue is that we often dehumanize ourselves, judge ourselves harshly and put ourselves in a box where God is not present. We devalue ourselves when we feel that we don’t reach the standards the world has set. Today I want to encourage you to set your eyes on God’s standards for your life. Don’t focus on what the world refers to as the image of perfection and what the world considers success. Your success is in the Lord. Your relationship with Him is the best evidence that you have made it in this life. Jesus bought your salvation and it is His salvation that matters more than the world’s temporary condition.

God has given you great value. In His eyes you are extremely precious. You are unique. You are golden and you are special. He doesn’t see flaws. He sees the great individual He created. However, if you can’t get to see any of it or if you have a hard time understanding it, you could be living in a constant world of self-judgement. The Lord adores you. He is not there to put you down or to make you feel less than. You have His Word and His Word says that He sent His Son to die for you. Yes, Jesus died for you. He didn’t die just for a select few. He doesn’t see some people as more valuable than others. Just because someone has more than you do doesn’t mean that the Lord loves them more. Just because someone looks like what people consider an ideal doesn’t mean that they are more blessed.

The Lord looks at the heart. He looks at what we can’t see easily. If your heart belongs to the Lord, you are blessed, you are successful, you are where you should be today and forever. Your value is limitless in His eyes. Learn to think about who you are through His eyes and not through the judgement of the world. I know it’s easier said than done but it could be a great prayer request. Pray that you see yourself the way Jesus sees you. Pray that your value shows up and you understand it. Pray that your mind stops judging you and comparing you to others. Pray for inner peace when it comes to who you are and whose you belong to.

Think about what Jesus would say about you if He were to come to your house today and talk about what He sees in you. He would speak with love. Every word He would say would be coated with deep love. His words would be music to your ears and you would hear a song you have never heard before. His love would sing to you and celebrate you. He would stress the importance of seeing yourself with loving eyes and with no judgment. People will judge you and evaluate you but let the Lord be the judge. His judgement is very different. It is about how wonderful you are and how much potential you have. That is the judgement you should be paying attention to. Don’t worry about what people say. You know the truth. The truth is that the Lord is saying that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

What faith does

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that good things can happen to us. Sometimes it’s hard to see a bright future when all we’ve seen is a miserable life. Sometimes good things seem too good to be true. Sometimes misery is our number one enemy. Sometimes hope is not on the agenda of our lives. Sometimes peace is not our companion. Despite all that we have a Lord who is not the God of the sometimes but the God of all the time. He is good all the time and He is able all the time. With Him we can take a step back and rethink how we see life. It can be dismal and it can look bad but the One who can change the worst life is on our side. He is the One you should be looking at and not our situation. Faith shows us God’s reality and that is the one reality that we should be focusing on. What does it look like? It looks like the opposite of all the bad things we can imagine. It looks like the opposite of what the enemy wants us to believe. It looks good and it looks bright. It is not a picture perfect put together by the expectations of the world. It is God’s picture perfect and it can turn a bleak image into a beautiful portrait.

Today I want to remind you that sometimes life is bad but God is good all the time. A bad day or a bad month don’t make God bad. He is not the source of our problems. He is the author of our solutions. Just because we can’t see the end of the tunnel doesn’t mean that there is no end. The end of the tunnel of torment will come. You will be propelled to the end when you least expect it and faith can show you the end way before it happens. It is faith that should be drawing a picture of our reality. Imagine living a life where faith is all we know, all we see and all we go by? That life is attainable. God provides it and we can embark on it. It is a powerful journey. The journey of faith doesn’t ignore the trials but it doesn’t give them value. Faith always values God’s promises over the world’s problems. Faith sees how God can turn bad into good. Faith is an eyesight. It is the eyesight that gives you access to the world of the impossible. It gives you access to a world where God is always in control and your emotions have no control. It is also a language that contradicts the language of the world.

My recommendation is that you adopt the language of faith. Learn how to speak it fluently. Get the lingo from God’s Word. Practice speaking faith as much as possible. Remember that faith is not influenced by emotions and feelings so don’t let them get in the way. Speak above your feelings. Speak above the pain. Speak against the thoughts that are keeping you captive. Speak with authority against the army of the enemy that is trying to destroy you. Speak great things into existence. Speak miracles into your life. Speak against the storms of doubt. Speak what you want to see happen in agreement with God’s will. Just like any other language, faith has a grammatical structure. There are subjects and action verbs. The main subject is the Lord and the action verbs are verbs of confidence, verbs of power, verbs of love and verbs of accomplishment. Faith speaks in the present tense about events that are in the future. Faith sees now even though nothing is happening. Faith has the confidence that every good thing can happen. Faith doesn’t doubt and it doesn’t use the phrase “what if” unless it is in a positive context. Faith keeps every sentence God-centered, love-centered and hope-centered. Faith is an active mode. It is not passive. It is reactive and it is productive. It will always produce great fruit in our lives. Speak the language of faith more and more and become fluent. It will change the way you approach everything in life in Jesus’ name!

The Holy Spirit and you are a team

“Two is better than one” is a popular saying that is very biblical. We are called to partner with the Holy Spirit. We were never meant to do this life alone. You and the Spirit of God form a partnership that can grow into an amazing relationship depending on how much you nurture it. The Bible also talks about the power of two or more people. There is something special when you are connected with someone else in the Lord. The power of a good union is tremendous. This also means that if we are connected to the wrong people or to the wrong influences than the results are more catastrophic than if we were by ourselves. Two people connected whether for good or bad reasons can do a lot. I love that I can pray with certain people and I know that our prayers are stronger together. Today I want to encourage you to partner with the Holy Spirit. Talk to Him. Include Him in all you do. He is a Person and He wants to be in contact with you all the time. When you flow with Him, you go down rivers of joy, peace, strength and faith.

The Holy Spirit gives strength. It took me a while to realize that. When we are in touch with Him and we let Him guide us, we receive strength. He gives us the strength to do anything. We can’t expect to have all the answers and to know what to do all the time. That is why recognizing that the Holy Spirit is the main Person we need to bond with is crucial. Family and friends are extremely important but as children of God we ought to think about His family first. We have a connection that is precious and that should be taken into consideration all the time. I love singing praises to the Lord. When I do, I let the Holy Spirit express Himself in me. There are so many things we can do that allow us to let the Holy Spirit use as a revolving door of blessings and of love. The Spirit will always magnify Jesus. Every time you think about Him or you feel led to share Him or talk to Him, you are being led by the Holy Spirit. That partnership is being put in motion when you glorify the Lord. In order to have a solid connection with the Spirit, we should read the Word of God and pray every day. Pray for others and pray for discernment and wisdom. The Holy Spirit can give you all of that. He is the best partner there is. I thank Jesus for the Holy Spirit every day.

There is a beautiful love story about you and your best friend. The Lord is your best friend and His Spirit will make this story happen in an amazing way. Be like David and worship the Lord with the harp of an open heart and the flute of adoration. Keep your heart open to the Lord and let your words indicate that you adore Him. You are a team. The Holy Spirit and you form a great team and it is important that you act and think as a member of that dynamic team. Your teammate is extraordinary and His awesome nature will impact your nature and make you a follower of the Lord. Maximize your time with your teammate. Let Him coach you and let Him help you. Two is better than one and with the Holy Spirit you will always be stronger and better!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 118)

God has a plan for your life. Remember that it is His plan and not yours. He will work it out for you. He will implement His plan and He will provide. Trust in His plan. Let Him be the God who has a plan for your life.

God didn’t call you to be someone else. He called you to be you. It’s when you are you that you will see the true power of you. You are unique. You are amazing. You are loved. You are meant for great things. You are meant to be the child God created. Let Him be your Father. Be His child!

God rejoices over you. He is speaking about you with the cloud of witnesses cheering for you. God is watching over you. He has His eyes on you and His angels are around you. God is in love with you. He pours love into you and His love is in His presence all over you.

Life can teach lessons that we need to repeat over and over again. God teaches lessons that will get us to the next chapter when we pay attention.

Sometimes we just tear down the walls of the house of the Lord with our unbelief and our free will. Let’s keep His house standing. Let’s keep faith as the foundation for His house and let’s build up the walls with hope.

Your prayers should not be minimized. Your words of hope should not be taken for granted. Your praises should not be diminished. Your testimony should not be silenced. Your heart should be strengthened and your faith should be highlighted. Don’t give up on what brings you close to God!

Some people will read and receive the Word of God in you. Some people will never learn how to read God in you. Some people are waiting for you to teach them how to get to know the One who lives in you.

God’s love is not the theme of an episode on the soap opera of your life. Leave the drama behind. God’s love is the main plot of your life. Love is the reason why you breathe. God’s love is the reason why you live.

Perk up and stay alert in the Lord. Drink the cup of His zeal and the cup of His awakening. Stay awake with God. Stay awake through His Spirit. Don’t slumber and don’t snooze spiritually. The adrenaline of the Spirit of God will keep you going.

God is knocking on the door of your heart every day. If you let Him in, He will come and rejoice with you. Pray that you hear the knocks. Pray that you see the door and that you can turn the handle even when your mind is trying to keep you inside the house of chaos and confusion.

The enemy is out to rob, destroy and kill. In this pandemic season focusing on the thief, the destroyer and the killer is very easy. He seems to have taken over a big part of the world and a huge section of our emotions. He is deeply rooted in the minds of millions of people playing movies of destruction and fear. The horror movies he has been projecting in our heads are endless. We get a commercial break when we see some hope but then something comes up and we are thrusted back into a negative movie whose end we can’t see.

What the enemy is trying to do is to present himself as powerful. He is a dictator that prevents peace from ruling our hearts. However, he is also a defeated foe. The Lord conquered him on the cross. He is trying to make us forget the power of the cross, the power of the Lord. He robs us of hope but the reality is that hope is still alive. It rose from the grave and the enemy can’t put it back there. He gives us the illusion that hope was killed but we can’t adhere to his lies. He is keeping too many people in his web of lies and when we have faith in his lies, he has power over us. Faith in God brings death to the lies. Faith in God reveals His power and His glory. Today I am here to remind you of the power of God. God is still the God of miracles. Resurrection Sunday is an every day reality when we choose faith over fear and doubt.

God is going to restore what the enemy has stolen. He is going to rebuild what was destroyed and He is going to give life to the dreams and visions that were killed by the enemy. Today you can decide to trust in the Lord and in His power. Today you can decide to turn a deaf ear to the enemy’s lies. Today you can push the reset button and go back to where God is dominating your life. Today you can evict the dictator and put Jesus back on the throne. There is so much power in the Lord that His power can heal every single person who has ever walked the earth. There is so much power in the Lord that His blessings can fill billions of baskets every day and be distributed to every single person who has walked the earth. The thing is that the enemy doesn’t want us to know that or to remember that. He blinds us with his darkness but the Lord opens our eyes to the light of His truth. The truth remains that the power of God is available today. It is here to stay and it is here to protect and bless you. God’s power will make you strong.

You will make it through this tough time and you will come out of it victorious. God’s power will give you the strength you thought you did not have yesterday because of how beaten you have been by this rough season. Your strength comes from the power of God. Plug into the power every day. Tap into it through prayer and praise. Praise brings God unto the scene and He shows up with His power. There is power to change every aspect of every part of your life today. God’s power is going to come in and sweep all the dirt and all the dust the enemy has dumped on you these past few months. God’s power can restore anything and it can mend anything that is broken. This pandemic is not the end. God’s power will put an end to it in your life. It might take a while for this virus to go away but God’s power will protect and bless you in all your ways. With God all things are possible. God’s power turns the impossible into possible. Don’t forget that God has authority over all the earth. Let Him be the authority in your life. You might have fallen but the Lord is raising you up by His power as we speak. Stay encouraged. God’s power is not going anywhere!
