What to do while you are waiting

Yesterday I wrote about the importance of waiting. Waiting is spiritual and scriptural. We should patiently wait and not try to speed up the process of our blessings. We should wait with faith and with the assurance that God is faithful. Waiting is always the best thing we can do. We shouldn’t act out of fear or out of worry and take matters into our own hands. Anything that shows we are not trusting God is to be avoided. We shouldn’t do any of these things. There are actions we should stay away from and words we shouldn’t speak. Depending on the situation, there is a list of do’s and don’ts. Saying that things will never improve is a big no no. Letting ourselves go and acting all miserable is another big no no. What should we do today while we are waiting? What are some of the essentials “do’s”?

Praying is the number one thing we should do today while waiting. We can’t stop praying. That would give the enemy such pleasure. He wants us to quit. He wants us to throw in the towel and stop praying. He wants the discouragement to be so strong that praying will appear to be useless. Prayer is communicating with God. It is not just about talking to God but it is listening to what He has to say and He has a lot to say. While you are waiting for a breakthrough, God will get you through the waiting period by encouraging you. Those words of encouragement can come from anywhere and they can especially come to you during prayer time. Prayer will give you encouragement and strength. The Lord is your Rock and your Refuge. Find time to commune with Him and to replenish your spiritual strength. He has so much to impart to you during prayer so don’t stop praying. Pray more than before. Pray more often. Pray longer. Pray and listen to hope. Pray and stay in faith.

You know that I am a big fan of praise and worship. While you are waiting for the answer to your prayers, praise and worship the Lord. Don’t shy away from this wonderful habit. Praise Him at the top of your lungs. Worship Him with your positive attitude. Honor Him. Put Him first. Show Him that you adore Him. Don’t stop exalting Him. The power of praise and worship is underestimated. A lot of people save them for Sunday. They should be a lifestyle. They should be how we live and they shouldn’t stop happening while we are waiting. I have found that praise and worship get me through the worst times and through the longest waits. They help me keep my eyes on Jesus and they make me stronger. Praise and worship should go on. Don’t stop. Keep praising. Keep adoring the King of kings.

While we are waiting, we should still witness for the Lord. We should talk about His goodness and His greatness. We should testify to His love and make Him famous in our hearts and around us. I encourage myself a lot by reminding my head of the wonders of the Lord in my life. I keep Jesus famous in my mind and in my heart. I speak of His majesty and I let people know that He is a faithful God. Being a witness for the Lord is something that we should undoubtedly keep on doing even when the wait is long. We should portray the Lord as accurately as we can and reading His Word is helpful. While we are waiting we should be readers of the Word and doers of the Word. God gave us His Word because He loves us and He knows what’s best for us. Let’s keep on following the Lord while we are waiting. Let’s keep on living our lives to the fullest. Let’s keep on hoping and believing. Let’s keep on serving the Lord and praising Him.  The wait could be long but like I wrote yesterday, it is always worth it. May God bless you and protect and remember that He will always love you!

Your daily Thanksgiving

When I was praying the other day I was so grateful for the Lord. I was grateful for His love and for who He was. I am grateful for Him every day. Every days is Thanksgiving for me. I can’t start my day without praise and thanksgiving. I don’t need a reason to be thankful. There is so much to be thankful for. The problem is that my mind gets in the way and looks at what I don’t have or IT tries to focus on what others have. It is a very detrimental approach. It is not what the Lord wants us to pay attention to. We all have blessings. If we have Jesus as our Savior, we have reasons to celebrate and we have blessings to be grateful for. Your Thanksgiving is not just on the last Thursday of the month if you leave in the USA. It is every day. Thanksgiving is a daily occurrence in the life of the believer or at least it should be. Have your Thanksgiving session a few times a day. God loves to hear how thankful you are. He wants you to have a praise and thankful attitude and leave your complaints behind. You can sit at the table of the Lord and enjoy His Thanksgiving meal. There are so many things on His table that you can be thankful for. There is enough food for thought for you to focus on. Wisdom from the Lord is available at His table and it is worth all the money in the world and more. Today I encourage you to stay at the table of the Lord and be thankful for Him. Don’t wait for Sunday or for the end of November to be grateful. Your Thanksgiving should be ongoing and it should be a lifestyle.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”* If you wonder what God’s will is for you, look in the Bible and you will find out what His will is. His will for you is to rejoice, pray and give thanks. Rejoice in the Lord. Not just when everything is going well but all the time. You might wonder how you will be able to do that. Ask the Lord for help. When you are down and rejoicing is the last thing on your mind, ask the Holy Spirit to give you His joy. You can rejoice in the middle of the worst times of your life. Not because you are going through a tough season but because the Lord is with you during that season. Rejoice and pray. Pray any time. Pray when life is great. Pray when life is tough. Pray because the Lord talks to you during prayer. Prayer is as much about Him talking to you as it is about you talking to Him. You might find that sometimes prayer is more about God telling you how much He cares and how safe and protected you are. He tells you not to worry and not to fear. Those are great reasons to be thankful for. Give thanks in all circumstances because the Lord is good in all circumstances. His will is that you give thanks. It is a wonderful habit to have. It is what He desires. It is a great way to please God and to remain in His will. Give thanks every single day. Your daily Thanksgiving keeps you in God’s will!

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”** Stay rooted in the Lord and let your faith be centered around Him. Abound in faith with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is an expression of your faith. It is more than gratitude. It is thanking the Lord for what you don’t see with your natural eyes. Let your faith create new songs of worship and thanksgiving in you. Your faith should be attached to your thanksgiving. You should thank God for what you have and for what you know you have in faith. Thanksgiving is not just based on the natural. It should be based in the supernatural as well. You have a supernatural God who does the impossible. Be thankful for the impossible made possible. Every day start your day with thanksgiving and with praise. You will develop a positive mindset and your day will be off to a great start. Thank God for God. Thank God for Jesus. Thank God for the Holy Spirit. Rejoice, pray and thank God for all He does and who He is. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

10 nuggets of wisdom for your Saturday (Part 191)

Who is the giant in your life? Is it doubt? Is it worry? Let Jesus be the giant in your life. Let Him dominate all circumstances and He will take down anything that tries to be bigger than Him in your life.

Great things happen to those whose hope in the Lord. What are you expecting today? Expect peace that surpasses your understanding. Expect love that resurrected for you. Expect joy that is your strength. Expect God to bless you and carry you today!

Today your mind might be a battlefield. The battle of the mind can be intense. Overcome it with God’s Word and with the joy of the Lord. There is so much good in your life. Don’t let negative thoughts steal that away from you. You got this in Jesus’ name!💪🏻

When you wake up in the morning, the Lord is with you. When you spend the day rejoicing or dragging, suffering or healing, the Lord is with you. When you go to bed at night, the Lord is with you. All day long the Lord is with you. Don’t fear. Don’t worry. You are in great company all day long!

Don’t wait for miracles to manifest tomorrow. Manifest them today. Your faith makes a way. Your miracles are here today. Jesus paid the price so you can have a free pass and free access to breakthroughs and blessings. Stay in faith!

If the negative wind of change blows in your direction, turn away from it. Look away. Look to Jesus. He will change the course of time.

God can accomplish more in one minute than the devil can ruin in a lifetime. Keep trusting God. He will turn things around. Stay encouraged!

Don’t let the imbalance of this world topple your hopes. Don’t let the foolishness of this world rob you of wisdom. Don’t let the confusion of this world diminish your faith. Don’t let the enemy in this world make you believe that Jesus is defeated. Don’t let this world be bigger than the Lord in you!

It’s not hard for God to love you. He adores you. He loves you the way you are and He wants to bless you and help you be all you can be. You were fearfully and wonderfully made. You are exceptional in God’s eyes. Enjoy the exception that you are! Enjoy your life with the One who took time to create you. He will always love you!

Stand still and let God fight your battles. Give up control. Give God permission to take over. He will bless you more than you can bless yourself. He will win every battle and give you a victory that you couldn’t manage on your own. God can do it all. Trust Him!

God brought you this far

God brought you this far. He is not going to let you down. He is not going to drop you. He is not going to leave you stranded. He will finish the good work He started in you. He will finish the good work in your life. Don’t give up! God is still working with you. God is still working on your situation. Keep the faith! There are some great things coming your way because God is making a way where you thought there was no way. It sounds cliche but it also sounds like Jesus. That is what He will always say. He will always say that He is way, the truth and the life. When you have Him, you always find your way out of trouble. You always have hope of better days. Those better days are not too far. Hold on a little longer. Show your faith longer. I understand that obstacles and hurdles seem to be all over the place and you can’t see good things in your future. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean that they are not ahead of you. Jesus has gone before you and He has laid out everything you need and He will provide for you. Don’t look at what you don’t have. In Him you have all you need. There are blessings today that might be invisible to you but with faith they can be revealed. God is by your side and He is going to take you places you had never thought existed. He brought you this far and He will guide you to a destination that is so peaceful and so good that it will blow your mind and surpass your understanding. God is not done blessing you. He is not done carrying you!

When I look back and see how far I have come I can’t help but thank the Lord. He is the One who has made so many things possible in my life. I have a better awareness of His work in my life and of His plan. Good things in my life have not been coincidences or luck. It’s been Jesus all along and He is here to stay. I know that when things get complicated and difficult, we are under the impression that God is done. We feel like He has left and He has moved on to other people. That is not how God is. In His Word He promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He also said that He was the same yesterday, today and forever. Your future is still in His hands. Your present is blessed by His presence. God doesn’t give up. God doesn’t turn around when He sees difficulties on the way. He destroys what tries to destroy us. God has the ability to do the incredible and to do the less expected. Faith connects us to Him and it gives us the hope and confidence that God is sovereign all the time. Express your faith today. Tell yourself that God is still God and that He has brought you this far and He will get you to the finish line. There is nothing to fear and nothing to be worried about. Worry won’t move you forward. It will always stall you and hurt you.

I have no idea what you are going through today. I am telling you to keep the faith and you might think that it is a tall order. You feel like you have given your best to this thing called faith and you have run out of it. Look to Jesus. He is the author of your faith. Faith is in His power, His truth, His love, His abilities, His sovereignty, and His omnipotence. You are not trying to have faith in your ability to make things happen. Your faith is exalting the One who died for the world and who came back to life. Revive your vision of Jesus. Go back to His Word. Read about Him. Read Him. Revisit Him. Relearn Him. He is the deliverer, the ruler of the universe and the King of kings. He wants you to stay in fellowship with Him and trust that your journey is not over. He is with you on the journey and He created this journey for you. Think about that! He made this plan just for you and He will see it through. You have made it this far thanks to Jesus and He is going to help you finish this amazing adventure. Keep your hopes up. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

God sings over you

I have mentioned before how I sometimes hear songs in my head. Songs that don’t exist. Songs that warm my heart because they come with so much joy and peace. They are songs dedicated to Jesus and sometimes they are just melodies that keep me calm. Melodies that have no lyrics but I know they are about Jesus. The other day I was sitting in my kitchen getting ready to have some one on one time with the Lord when I heard a very beautiful melody. It was just so incredible. I wish I could have recorded it. When I started praying, the Lord told me that He sings over us and that melody was an example of that. He loves each and every one of us and He sings over us and about us. His songs are extremely beautiful. They are a reflection of what He thinks about us. To Him we are the most important person in the world. Each and every one of us matters to Him greatly and He looks at us with oceans of love.

We can’t know the depths of these oceans because if we did, we would drown in His love. At times I wish I could be carried away by God’s love and just float on His mercy and grace. We don’t have to go far to find His love. We don’t have to be special to experience His love. We just have to believe that when He says He loves us, He means it. God is a God of His word and He is faithful. Nothing we can ever do can separate us from His love. He will always sing over us and He will always rejoice over us. Now, if you know you did something wrong or if you feel guilty about a sin in your life, know that God will forgive you. Don’t let guilt and shame keep you away from God. Repent and let go of what is distancing you from God. Repent and trust that God has forgiven you. Repent and ask for help so that sin doesn’t keep causing you to fall and stumble. God loves you and that’s all there is to it!

Think about the best songs and the best melodies you have ever heard. Combine them and multiply them by a thousand and you still won’t be able to duplicate the joyful songs that the Lord sings over you. I think that if we had more faith in how much God loves us, we would have a stronger walk with Him and we would be able to face life more easily. There is no power greater than God’s love. The most sophisticated weapons are not stronger than God’s love. The most desperate situations are not bigger than God’s love. The most debilitating circumstances are not stronger than God’s love. God’s song about you is an expression of a love that has no end and that can’t fail. Learn to embrace God’s love for you. Accept the work that Jesus did on the cross. Accept the resurrection power of the Lord. That power lives in you and it has been placed in you by God’s love. His song about you echoes what He did for you and it depicts the greatest sacrifice that has ever taken place. That sacrifice was because of you. Jesus had you in mind. Jesus did it all for you. Thank Him for His outstanding love. Thank Him for not ever changing His love for you. Thank Him for the songs He sings about you. Thank Him for rejoicing over you.

If you could hear the lyrics of the songs the Lord sings about you, you would be amazed. You would be in awe. You would be in tears. The extreme beauty of His love for you would pierce you and enter the depth of your being. It would be such a wonderful experience that you would never be able to see yourself in a dark light. You are a ray of sunshine according to the Lord. Think about it! He rejoices over you! The Lord Almighty is excited about you. He gets to spend every day with you and your company makes Him joyful. Sing back to Him. Sing over Him. Rejoice over Him. Show Him that you love Him and you appreciate Him. Use the best words your heart can come up with and direct them to the Lord. Let Him hear how delighted you are to be in His presence. Be confident that His love is permanent and keep that truth in the middle of your heart. The Lord is singing about you as we speak. Smile and enjoy His singing. God so loved you that He gave His only Son for you. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Faith gets you closer to God

I often talk about the peace of the Lord because it is something that has made me feel closer to God. It is so powerful and so out of this world that I see it as a footprint from the Lord on my life. He leaves footprints on my life from time to time to remind me that He is there. They are also like winks from Heaven. Winks that tell me, “Don’t worry, the Lord is always with you.” You see, I used to look for signs and for feelings that demonstrated that the Lord was around. I relied on how I felt to know that God was present. The truth is that He is always there and He never leaves us even when we don’t feel anything or we don’t have any signs. Looking for signs all the time can be very deceiving because most of the time we “don’t feel” God. How do we know that He is there then? By faith. Faith is the assurance that God is present and that He is active in our lives. Faith is a form a vision. We see beyond the natural and we see into the supernatural or the impossible. Faith gives us a new eye sight. A new and better way of looking at life. Faith doesn’t rest on what we see with our eyes or what we feel with our bodies. We know God is there when we have faith and we don’t need anything tangible or visual to be sure of His existence. Faith is extremely powerful. Faith creates great things into our lives. When we have faith, we have access to the miraculous, the impossible and the supernatural. Faith is what we should pursue and grow in our lives.

“Now faith is confidence in hat we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”* What do you hope for? We all hope for many different things. As Christians, I would say that one of the things we should hope for is a closer relationship with the Lord. We can attain this intimate relationship by faith. Two people get closer when they spend time together. Let’s spend more time with God by faith. Let’s set time aside knowing that God is with us during those times. We don’t have to feel Him or to hear Him right away. We just have to trust that He is with us and that He is listening to us. He is very talkative and by faith we can hear Him. How? God doesn’t contradict His Word so what we hear on the inside that is connected to the Word of God is God talking to us. We need to have faith in what He says and in what we hear. We should live by faith and not by sight so our lives should reflect our belief that God is with us and that He is interested in a relationship with us. With faith we can please God. Faith shows us that God is real, that He loves us and that we ought to follow His lead. Faith gets us closer to the Lord. Faith is a connector, a bridge between God and us.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him use believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”** Faith connects you to God like I said earlier and it shows you that your God exists and He is with you all the time. When we rely on our feelings and our moods as indicators that God exists, we focus on the wrong source. Our knowing that God exists should be faith-based because our emotions and moods will change all the time. A characteristic of faith is that it doesn’t waver no matter how we feel. Faith is in the heart and it influences our minds. Let your faith be stronger than your feelings. Develop faith by spending time in the Word of God. Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. You can’t have more faith if you have little of the Word of God in you. My prayer is that your faith is so strong that you know without a doubt that God is with you, for you and in you. Faith gets you closer to God, friend. Believe He is there. Trust He will never leave you. Do it by faith. His peace and His joy are bonuses that are reminders of His presence but faith should be your main point of contact with the Lord. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Expect God every day

I love the start of a new week. I love new beginnings. I love new days, new weeks, new months and new years. However, I don’t wait for a new start to challenge myself or to trust that God can do something different in my life. Yes, He is the God of new beginnings and His mercies are new every day. I am so thankful for that and I praise the Lord for His new mercies. I do believe that God can act at any point in my life and I don’t have to wait for a new day or a new year to have great expectations. I expect God all the time. I expect Him to act on my behalf any time. I expect His blessings to follow me wherever I go and whenever. I don’t have to wait around for something new to happen. God is here now. His love is here now. His power is here now. His blessings are here now. You and I have the creator of the universe on our sides and He loves to bless us. I know that if we have faith in His blessings, they will flood our lives. God loves us more than we know and He wants rivers of blessings to be present in our lives. We need to learn how to flow with that truth so that we embark on the boat of joy and peace that floats on His rivers of blessings. Today could be a new beginning for you. Today could be the day you begin to trust that God wants you to be blessed all the time. I encourage you to expect God any time of the day and any day of the week.

I remember loving Sundays as a teenager because I could go to church. I used to go far to attend a church where I found what I needed at the time spiritually. I basically lived for Sundays. I knew I would encounter God on that day and I loved how my Sundays gave me the strength to face the new week. I had the wrong approach. I put God in the “Sunday box.” He was limited in my mind because He could only show up in my life on Sunday. I had a vision of a limited God that I could truly only interact with on Sunday. My Sundays with God helped me deal with Monday. At least with part of Monday because by the end of Monday I was usually back to my old defeated self. Did I pray during the week? I did but my prayers were rot and they sounded rehearsed. I didn’t know how to connect with God outside of Sundays. I didn’t except God during the week other than some ripple effects from my Sunday worship and prayer time. We should expect God all the time, friend. Sundays are great days to praise the Lord but so are all the other days of the week. We can expect God’s peace every day. We can expect God’s joy every day. We can expect God’s blessings all the time. We should expect God at all times.

I saw a big shift in my spiritual life when I decided to praise the Lord on a daily basis. I remember actually starting doing that on a Monday. I held my own private praise and prayer sessions in the morning and at night. I brought church home so to speak and within a few days, I had encounters with the presence of the Lord. He visited me every day and I was open to His love and His direction. The Holy Spirit opened the eyes of my spirit and I was all about Jesus. I expected the Lord to inhabit my praises all the time. I read my Bible every day. I prayed a lot more and I established a beautiful relationship with the Lord. I expected Him to be the God of the Bible 24/7 and that is what happened. I had dreams, visions, bouts of joy and peace and I was addicted to Jesus. I expected Him to bless me every day and to help me deal with every single day. I knew that problems would still arise but I expected God to give me the victory. Today I still expect God every day. I still pray and worship all the time and it makes my life so much better. God is not just here on Sunday. Expect Him every day, dear friend. It will change your life for the better. Expect God’s blessings all the time. Ride the waves of His peace every single day. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Life with the Holy Spirit

God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. Every time I read that verse or every time it comes to mind, I can’t help but be grateful for what God did for us. It blows my mind that the Father gave His Son as a sacrifice so that we shouldn’t perish. Jesus died for our sins, for our inities and for our transgressions. Now, if we believe in Him and trust Him to be our Savior, not only are our sins forgiven but we are also given eternal life. Our spiritual life is locked in Heaven. We have the promise of a life with Christ. That life doesn’t start later. It starts the moment we accept Jesus as our Savior. That life is not better for some believers because they are special. We are all special in God’s eyes and we all have access to the eternal life the Lord bought for us.

What does that life look like? It is depicted in the Bible and it is best lived with the Holy Spirit. Every believer receives the Holy Spirit once he or she has Jesus as their Savior. Does that mean that eternal life is easy and we live on cloud 9 all the time? Absolutely not! One thing that is extremely important is that we acknowledge the Holy Spirit and we live our lives with Him. Many believers are not aware of the Holy Spirit. They know of Jesus but they don’t know His Spirit. The truth is we can’t know Jesus without the Holy Spirit. His Spirit is the One who connects us to Jesus. Today I want to encourage you to enjoy life with the Holy Spirit. Let Him be more real in your life. Give Him the room He deserves. Rejoice over the amazing gift of the Lord Jesus.

Jesus said He would send us His Spirit and His Spirit would dwell in us. How many of us are aware of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? How many of us can say that we know the Spirit of Jesus? When I pray, I talk to the Holy Spirit. I often thank Jesus for His Spirit and then I thank the Holy Spirit for being my counselor, my comforter and my helper. The Lord is the Spirit. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are one. The Holy Spirit represents them in our lives. He is God standing by us and staying in us. The power of the Holy Spirit lives in us but if we ignore Him or if we don’t take Him into consideration, His power will not do us any good. What does His power do? It points out to Jesus.

The power of the Holy Spirit celebrates Jesus as Lord and Savior. We have the power to know Jesus. We have to power to link up with Jesus. Jesus asked the Father to send us the ultimate advocate to help us and to be with us forever. Thank Jesus for His Spirit. Declare every day that the power of the Holy Spirit is in you and that you will tap into His power to praise and worship Jesus. You have the power to magnify Jesus so do it as often as you can. Your flesh might be pulling you away from the Lord but you have what it takes to overcome the flesh and to praise the Lord at all times. Make it a habit to use the power of the Spirit in you to extol Jesus.

I mentioned that the Holy Spirit was a counselor, a comforter, an advocate and He is also a friend. He is alive. He is a person and He is the best person we can know. Why? Because like I said He always steers us in Jesus’ direction and He is God. Who wouldn’t want to have God within them all the time? We are God’s temple. That is such an honor and privilege. Living with the Holy Spirit should be the focus of our lives. Our everyday life should be marked by communicating with the Lord thanks to the Holy Spirit. We pray and talk to God through the power of the Holy Spirit. That is what His power does. Every time we are inclined to pray, it is the power of the Holy Spirit in us that is in action.

We don’t need lightening and thunder to take place for us to be motivated by the Spirit of God. He is gentle and kind and He won’t force us to lift up Jesus but He knocks on the door of our hearts and wants to come in. Let’s be sure to answer the door and give the Spirit of God the best seat in the house. The Spirit of God also pours God’s love in our hearts. It is a powerful outpouring that can be manifested if we yield to the Spirit. Friend, we have an amazing life thanks to Jesus. God gave His Son so we would have eternal life with His Spirit. Let’s involve the Spirit of God in all we do and let’s give Him first place. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

A heart of gratitude

The other morning as I started my day with prayer, the Lord reminded me that gratitude is key. He said to my heart that He loves a grateful heart. Am I grateful all the time? I could do better. I could spend more time thanking the Lord for big things and for small things. Every time I read the Psalms I reminded of how grateful David was. He surely had a grateful heart and He shows a great example to all of us. I strongly encourage you to read the Psalms and to learn more about the heart of David. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. It is clear that David’s heart was filled with gratitude. He loved the Lord so much that He couldn’t stop thanking Him. David also expressed distress and pleaded the Lord to save him from torment. He didn’t awakes live on a bed of roses but his heart for the Lord was big and the gratitude that flew from it mattered a lot.

David talks about how his mind troubled him at times which highlights his human side but despite his difficulties, he praised the Lord and he thanked Him. We can do the same thing. We can praise the Lord and thank Him despite our troubles. It is normal for us to complain and to even feel forsaken by the Lord. When we read David’s Psalms we understand we are in good company. However, just like David, we can nurture a heart of praise and a grateful heart. Gratitude is key like the Lord said when I was praying. It is a key that opens many doors. Today I invite you to use the key of gratitude and to express it as much as possible.

David also declares that when He calls on the Lord, He rescues him. This is true for you and me. When we call on the Lord, He comes to our rescue. That is a great reason to be grateful to Him. No matter what we go through, God can rescue us. He deserves our praise and our celebration because He is good at all times even when the world is bad. God will always come to help us. He will make sure that we get through anything and everything when we rely on Him. I thank the Lord for His goodness and for His faithfulness every day. That is how I start my prayers most of the time. I know that His goodness and His faithfulness will never change so every day I can mention them and be thankful for them. Find things about the Lord that you can talk about and be grateful for.

Study God in His Word and show gratitude for what you know about Him. His eternal love is another thing that I am grateful for every single day. I am here because of His love. We are saved because of His love. We are blessed because of His love. We are protected because of His love. We have eternal life because of His love. We will always make it because of His love. We love because He first loved us. God’s love is the main reason you and I should be thankful every day. Our hearts of gratitude should echo His love and spread it. His love is the start of all good things. It is His love that guides us into all good things and that helps us love others. Thank God every day for His amazing love!

If I didn’t have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, living out my Christian life would be very difficult. I am very thankful for the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge Him in what I do. I can do a better job with that but I am on my way. I am learning how to include Him more in my life. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. He is a wonderful gift we should celebrate and we should be thankful for. Friend, thank Jesus for the Holy Spirit all the time. Let your heart of gratitude speak about the Holy Spirit and keep Him inside. When I ignore the Holy Spirit, I see that something is missing and something seems off. He is the gift that should always be present in my mind. The less I focus on the Lord and on His gift, the more my mind can wander down dire roads.

We have the Spirit of Jesus in us. It is such a tremendous blessing. The Holy Spirit is gentle and loving and He is the perfect counselor. Name all the things He does in your life. Go down the list of what makes Him who He is. Be thankful for all His traits and for His influence on your life. There are many reasons for you and me to be thankful every day and the Word of God lists all these reasons. Let’s have a grateful heart as much as we can. Gratitude is the key that opens the doors to blessings and to peace and joy. A life of gratitude is a life of victory in the Lord. Thank God for God! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
