God’s plans haven’t changed

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”* God’s plans for your life haven’t changed, friend. He knew what He was going to do in your life way before you were born. His promise of having a plan for your life dates back to the Old Testament and it is still relevant today. He has plans to bless you. He has plans to do good things for you. He has plans to give you a good future and hope. If good things haven’t happened in your life yet, don’t lose hope. God’s plans will take place in your life. It is not over yet. God is going to bless you above your expectations and He is going to do good things in your life.

You might have gone through a tough season most of your life. You might have experienced tragedy after tragedy but none of that can take away God’s plans for your life. His plans are superior to the plans of the enemy. His plans are better than any trial you have had. Your bad days don’t compare to the good days God has for you. God is good all the time and His goodness will prevail in your life. The wait might be long but it is worth it. Stay in faith. Thank God for His plans for your life. Great and amazing things are on their way.

God doesn’t forget about you. He doesn’t bless others and overlook you. He doesn’t give more to a select few. Your faith in Him gives you access to His best. You deserve the best. You deserve His love. You will get the best and you will see His love in action. What you need to do is believe that you are in God’s plans right now. You are not outside of His plans. God is blessing you today. Think about the biggest miracle you have ever had. The miracle of salvation. The miracle of having Jesus as your Savior. That is part of God’s plans. He planned the coming of His Son a long time ago. He planned to send His only begotten Son who was going to die for your sins. He knew the plan. His plan worked and His plans for you will work as well.

He knew the plan of His Son’s death, His burial and His resurrection. Through that plan He blessed you more than anyone could bless you. Through that plan He gave you eternal life and redeemed you. Through that plan He gave you peace, love, joy, blessings and victory. That plan was for good and not for disaster. The enemy had a plan for you for disaster. The Lord defeated the enemy and restored your life. What a beautiful plan! What a great victory! God knew the plans He had for you and they worked out for the best. You got the best plan possible and it is still affecting your life in an extremely positive way.

Expect great things! Expect God’s plans to show up in your life with mountains of blessings and showers of breakthroughs. His plans for you are incredible and yet they are true. You have seen nothing yet. God’s plans for your life are not done. They are not taking a back seat and they have not been stalled. God is the God of all blessings and you are the recipient of those blessings. Count on the blessings. Count on the great plans. Count on God every day. Count on being blessed and on receiving favor every day. Count on the Holy Spirit. Count on the fruit of the Spirit. His fruit is part of the plan. His fruit is a delicious spiritual part of the plan. Forget about the plans you have for your life unless they align with God’s plans. Forget about the plans of the enemy for your life and declare that God has greater plans for you.

Refuse to settle for less than God’s best. Refuse to settle for the plans that are not God’s plans. There are miracles on the way to you as we speak. Yes, friend, God’s plans include miracles. Believe in the miracles of the Lord Jesus Christ in your life. You will see great things come to pass. God’s plans for your life have not changed one bit. You are blessed every day. You are a blessing every day. Get on God’s plans and trust that these things are your reality. Nothing is impossible to God and that is part of the plans in your life. Stay encouraged and keep praising the Lord for His plans. May God bless you and protect you and remember He will always love you!

Surely the Lord is with you

I have been going through a few things lately that have tried to derail and to make me fall. Every day we can be subject to attacks from the enemy. He has traps all around us and he is waiting for the first believer who will get caught in his traps. One of his traps is the one of our negative confessions. I talk about it often. The enemy loves it when we speak negativity and doubt. He loves it when he gets believers to doubt God and to distance themselves from Him. I am learning a lot about the Lord and my knowledge is becoming dangerous to the enemy. Friend, when you grow in knowledge and in wisdom, the enemy gets very annoyed because you can really wreak havoc in his territory. You can jump over his traps and you can walk on solid ground. One thing that you understand is that surely the Lord is with you. Surely He accompanies you and He stands by you no matter what you are going through.

The Lord has been reminding me of His precious presence and of His love that won’t let me fall. The other day I was driving and I kept getting images in my mind of the Lord holding me up. He was holding me above my problems. He was holding me up so high that there was no way any problems could reach me. That is what He wants us to realize. He wants us to know that He is holding us in the palm of His hands so high that nothing can destroy us. We can look at the difficulties from above but we can’t embrace them and adhere to them. We can’t say that the problems will be the end of us and that we won’t make it. We should thank the Lord that surely He is with us supporting us and blessing us. He won’t let anything harm us. He will stand there and guard us when we stay in faith.

Surely the Lord is with you today, friend. He is there to protect you and to see you through. He is there to wipe your tears and make you smile again. With Him you are guaranteed to smile again. I know that sometimes life can be too heavy and too difficult to deal with. Some people go through atrocious situations and I can understand their tears and their fears. There is no doubt that pain and suffering are real. There is also no doubt that Jesus and His indestructible love are real as well. They are more real than our problems and our circumstances. Our problems will go away eventually but Jesus never will. He will surely keep us company and stay with us on this journey called life. Life happens. Problems arise but our Lord Jesus rises up in us through His Spirit and we can face anything.

I find so much comfort in the presence of the Lord. I don’t have to feel Him or see Him. I know that He is there and that He will surely do something amazing for me. All I have to do is persevere in faith and keep going. I have to hold on to Him and keep walking. Nothing can separate me from the love of the Lord and that truth goes for you as well, friend. Jesus is surely rejoicing over you and He has a plan to get you out of your predicament so cheer up. Cheer up and change your sad song into a song of praise. Cheer up and keep your eyes on our wonderful Lord. Cheer up and remind yourself that surely the Lord is with you. You don’t have to sense Him and you don’t have to see Him. All you have to do is praise Him, thank Him, celebrate Him, follow Him, talk to Him and listen to Him. His goodness endures forever. Things are going to get better and they are going to turn around in the mighty name of Jesus! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

You are the salt of the earth

When I was praying a couple of days ago, the Lord reminded me of something I had read in the Bible. His sweet voice said deep down inside that I was the salt of the earth. He said, “Remember you are the salt of the earth.” I meditated on that word. I couldn’t remember the verse exactly but I knew it was in the Bible and it was something that Jesus Himself had said. I looked it up. I found it in the book of Matthew. In Matthew chapter 5 verse 13, Jesus declared, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” What Jesus said was directed to the people in attendance. This was during Jesus’ sermon on the Mount. He is addressing this speech to you and me as well. We are His children. We believe in Him. We are the salt of the earth but we should be careful not to lose our flavor.

Nowadays when we say that someone is the salt of the earth, we imply that they are a good and honest person. That person can add goodness to our lives with their “saltiness”, their kindness. Jesus called us salt of the earth because we can add flavor to this world. We can enhance this world and we can make it a better place. Not because of who we are but because of Jesus in us. We have a mission, we have a purpose, we are part of a plan. The plan is to do good and to spread the Gospel of love around the world. We are the salt that can make a bitter situation taste better by removing the bad taste, the hard feelings and the negative atmosphere. As salt of the earth, our goal is to flavor the world with Jesus. We don’t have to go to the end of the earth to be that amazing salt. We can add salt to the lives around us. We can give Jesus to anyone we come in contact with. Everyone needs that salt. No matter what they say and no matter what they do. The salt of the Lord is a necessity that no one can live without. Let’s sprinkle the salt of love, of peace and of joy around us.

Jesus warns us that we shouldn’t lose our savor. Our taste, our flavor, our savor is in the Savior. He makes us the salt that can improve any recipe the world is dealing with. The enemy serves some nasty dishes that leave us sick to our stomach but we, with the power of Jesus, can make the digestion a better process. Love is the key ingredient that comes with the salt. We are to spread love before anything else if we want the world to come and taste the goodness of the Lord. We can keep our saltiness by dipping ourselves in the love of the Lord all the time. Love gives meaning to who we are and to what we do for Christ. He said Himself that we should watch our saltiness level so to speak and we can do that by hanging on to Him. We can keep our flavor by constantly praying and fellowshipping with the Lord. He is the salt shaker and we are the grains of salt. Thanks to Him we are that coarse salt. We are not the fine type. We have a bold flavor and a fierce love. Keep being the salt of the earth, friend. Keep doing what you do through Christ. There are salt-less people that can use your savor and your Savior! May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

Sit down with God

I recently started a new job that I am enjoying so far. I can see that there is potential for me to be absolutely in love with this job and I thank God for it. With this new job comes a salary reduction. The other day my mind was very active and thoughts of how my new salary might affect my lifestyle a little bit popped into my head. I was tired so my head went places it shouldn’t go especially because I have a Savior who is more than enough. I was thinking about how my job is my source of income and I needed to supplement my revenue. However, when I got into prayer, the Lord beautifully told me to change my thinking and to remember that He is my source of income. He is my source for everything and when I have that mentality, peace settles in my mind and I have a much more positive outlook. It is so true. The Lord is my source and He supplies my needs according to His riches in glory. At the end of the prayer, the Holy Spirit gave me a very interesting invitation. He said deep down inside, “Sit down with the Lord. Take a seat and be still with Him.”

I loved that invitation so much! The Lord is still and calm all the time. He is composed and in control. He is never hyperactive and He never panics. He is the perfect role model when it comes to calmness and serenity. God knows everything that is going on everywhere and yet He never gets upset and He never loses His cool. He is the King of patience and the King of hope. His invitation the other day was a gentle request to take the time to be with Him and to be like Him. We get so frantic about some life events that we forget that God goes about things in a totally calm way. I sat down with God. I prolonged my prayer and just sat there. I took the time to know that He is God. I took the time to be silent and to contemplate the stillness and the beauty of the Lord. I sat down and listened. I sat down and relaxed my overactive mind. I sat down and enjoyed the company of the Lord. I sat down and smiled. I sat down and slowed down. I sat down and everything seemed to be alright. I sat down and gave God a chance to work in me and to do a wonderful work I couldn’t do on my own. Sit down with God, friend. Slow down. Embrace the moment with Him and just be. No need to move around in a frenzy. Take the time to be with the Father. Take the time to be a child of the Father. Take the time to receive love from the Father. Sit down with Him!

As I sat there, a lot of great memories flooded my mind. The Lord took me down memory lane and reminded me of His goodness in my life. He pointed out the times when He had intervened in my life and how He has always provided. He has always been there. He was there before I was aware of His existence. He was there when I was nowhere to be found and I was millions of miles away from Him living a life of rebellion. He was there when I was happy and when I was down. That great moment when I was sitting down and being still with Him was a reminder that He has provided more than I could imagine. He has been by my side and He has taken care of me. God has sat down with me to calm me down when I didn’t know what to do. God has held me in His arms when I didn’t know how to feel better. God has carried me in His arms when life was too dangerous for me to navigate on my own. God has sat down next to me and watched me fall asleep when loneliness was getting intense. He sits with all of us. He invites all of us to sit down with Him and appreciate His kindness and His gentleness. Friend, sit down with God today. Take a break from your hectic day. Sit down and seek His face. Sit down and thank Him for being there for you. Sit down and know that He is always God and He will always supply your needs. Sit down with God and

He will whisper words of comfort and words of encouragement to your heart. Enjoy moments of peace with God every day. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you.

You deserve God

I have mentioned a few times that I had felt like I didn’t deserve God’s love for a while. I used to think that God excluded some people and only the chosen few could approach Him. There had to be someone between God and me otherwise I couldn’t communicate with God. I was wrong. I didn’t know what God was all about. God is love first and foremost. I should have started with love. I should have looked at God using the love filter. When we study God and we try to know Him better and we are reminded that He is all about love, we have the right approach. God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish.

That verse, John 3:16, is the starting point. It is the essence of God’s vision of humanity and it defines what God thinks of every person that will ever walk the earth. If you are a person, no matter what your gender is, your background, your location and anything else about you, you are loved by God. If you believe in Jesus, you will be saved. It doesn’t matter what you have done or said or how far you have been from God. He loves you so much that He gave Jesus for you. You deserve His love and His salvation. You deserve God. Think about that. You deserve God, friend. If you were made to believe that you are not worthy, I am here to remind you that you deserve God’s love and blessings. You belong with God.

Deserving God sounds like a big statement and it is a reality. I know that life can break you and hurt you and people can make you feel like you are less than. God doesn’t see it that way. He sees everyone as wonderful people who can have a relationship with Him. You and I can be in an intimate relationship with God. This reality should be part of what we meditate on and what we believe. If we don’t think we are deserving of God, it will hinder our connection with Him. God tells you Himself that a life with Him is what He wants for you. He doesn’t want you to live in isolation or to be disconnected from Him.

Eternal life, salvation is what Jesus bought for us and you dear friend deserve it because you believe in Jesus. You believe in the One who gives eternal life. Enjoy your life in Christ. Live it up! Know that it is yours and embrace it. His salvation is not meant for later on. It is for the here and now. What else is part of salvation? The Bible describes our lives in Christ and the promises of God are real and they are for you and me. We deserve every one of them. Spend time in the Word and learn about the Lord’s salvation and what it entails for you.

When I found out that I deserved God’s love, it made my connection with Him stronger. I saw a different side of God that is the right side. I saw that His love is so powerful that I should always remember that I am protected, saved and covered by the hand of the Almighty. Blessings were out of reach for me before my perspective changed. I believed that blessings were reserved for other people. Something was missing in my life. At least that is what I thought. I was under the impression that I lacked the “lovable gene” that other people seemed to have. It was more than a gene. It was a blessing that I longed to have. All of that was not true. I had Jesus and I needed to focus on who He was and dig a little deeper.

God’s love transformed me and it kept me going. His love told me that I deserved the best and His mercy and grace were enough for me. His mercy was wonderful and it was always there. God’s grace was sufficient and I was blessed. Friend, you are blessed in the name of Jesus. You are highly favored and God adores you. Don’t let the lies stop you from receiving God’s best. A wonderful relationship with Him is what you can expect. Enjoy Jesus. Enjoy your connection with Him. You deserve God’s love every single day no matter what you have done or what you do. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!

God cares about your heart

I used to think that God was a distant entity who didn’t mingle with us humans very much. He was hard to approach and He was standoffish. Little did I know that He was the total opposite. He cares more than anyone I know. He cares more than my family and my friends. He is interested in all of us and in every part of our lives. He knows all there is to know about us and yet He acts like every part is very meaningful to Him. He could hate us because of who we are, because we are all sinners but He died for us so we could be redeemed and we could have a relationship with Him. That is just so amazing when you think about it! He has restored us and made us part of His family. One thing that God made clear to me is that He cares about my heart. He cares about my feelings and my emotions. I had never known Him to be that caring and I feel bad for all the people who have been misled and who believe that God is not concerned with our hearts. He is. What we think, what we feel and what we experience all matter to Him. God wants us happy and joyful. He wants to be the center of our lives because He knows that is the best thing for us. He is not arrogant, self-centered and selfish. The best thing we can ever live and experience is a relationship with Him and that is what He desires for us all to have. The very best is what we deserve in His eyes. Finding peace, joy and love is not an impossible goal. It can all happen when we stay close to God and we let Him lead our lives and impress us with His goodness. Our hearts go through so much because of everything that goes on in this world. The world will always be in turmoil and there will always be reasons for us to be troubled but Jesus cares. Jesus cares about your heart and mine. Remember that every day Jesus cares about your heart.

Jesus died for you. He died for your heart. He died so you would have a good life and you would be joyful. Joy is important to Him. He is joy. He is not a sad God. Whoever tells you that you have to be sad and down to please God is not well-informed. God would never want you to have the opposite of Him. He would never want you to have a life where the enemy is ruling your heart and filling it with negative junk. That junk is not from God and it will never be. Your heart is the engine of your spiritual being. Your heart is the core of your character and of your faith. When your heart is troubled, your faith is affected and your personality is contaminated for lack of a better word. Your heart is the director for the movie of your life. Your heart takes you into the right direction and into the wrong direction. Out of the abundance of your heart come good things or bad things. God cares about what’s in your heart and He encourages you to make sure that your heart is governed by Him and by love. Love should be the headmaster of your heart. God should be the king of your heart and everything else should be subject to Him. Take a look at what’s in your heart. You will find out what’s in it when you pay attention to what you say and to what you think about the most. Your thoughts and ideas will always find their way to your heart so it is crucial that you filter them and that you have a good handle on them. Jesus is the best filter!

God is very interested in what’s in your heart like I have been saying and that means that He has a plan for your heart and it is possible for your heart to be kept strong and to be joyful. God can help with your heart. He can show you how to keep it strong and how to fill it with joy and peace. The first step is to put Him in your heart. Know and understand that there is no substitute for God. He has to be the One you focus on and you adore. Develop a relationship with Him. Make Him the focus of your thoughts. You can achieve that by reading the Word, by praying more than usual and by praising the Lord. Don’t wait for church to praise and pray. Don’t wait for Sunday to talk to God. Give Him a chance to talk to you every day. Your heart can easily be impacted by the world so there is a need for a stronger relationship with the Lord. It takes time, effort and dedication but is it the best thing you can do. When you do, God will impart His peace and make your heart feel safe. He will pour joy into you and make your heart be glad. He will shower you with His love so you can give out His love to the people in your life. God cares about your heart and He has the power to keep it blessed and free from worry. God will remove worry and fear from your heart when you give your heart to Him. Trust Him with your heart! He will make you glad!

The power of love in the middle of a crisis

I was recently talking to a young man who has had a lot of trauma in his life. He has been to very dark places and he has lost his way many times. He fortunately has made a full recovery and thanks to his support system he can lead a better life. He mentioned that in the middle of his crisis, love emerged as his saving grace. It is love that made it possible for him to continue to live and to have hope. Love planted itself in the middle of the darkness he was going through. Like a rose with no thorns, love grew among the weeds and gave him a new life. Love was the color that the darkness couldn’t control. Love was the rose that the bad plants couldn’t hide and the strength that his heart needed. It is the people who showed him love that kept him afloat and that got him to shore. He had been drowning with no faith in the possibility of seeing dry land again. Love didn’t give up on him. Love said “Back off devil” and took control of the situation. Love had pity on him. Love had a different plan for him. I loved how at such a young age he was able to see the power of love and understand it. His story made me think of how love saved my life. Love came and saw the mess that I was in and decided to delete the plans of the enemy and give me a fresh start. Love took me by the hand. Love took me out of my misery. It is the love of the Lord that made things possible. His love changed my life. His love ruined the plans of the enemy. His love gave meaning to my life. His love transformed me. Before then, my life was a constant crisis but love made its way through the panic and came to my rescue. God’s love can get into the middle of any crisis, sound the alarm and get help from Heaven. Today I want to remind you that God’s love is going to make a way. It is going to break the things that are breaking you, destroy what’s destroying you and remove what’s been erasing you. The power of love is going to change your situation for the better.

I always want to believe in the power of love but when I see how much hatred and evil is in the world, I second guess love. There is no doubt that love is more powerful than anything but if we focus on the bad, it will appear to be overwhelming and it will always magnify all the problems in our lives. I understand that things can get pretty bad sometimes. It is a given and it is inevitable but God’s love has something to say about all our situations. It says that God can reverse anything. Love declares and proclaims that the One who died and came back to life holds the keys to an unconditional love that can change all conditions. Love can do the impossible. It can rise from the dead and bring life where there is no hope. I learned that having hope in God’s love is having hope in the biggest and strongest power in the universe. Love can achieve more than we think when we give it a chance. Love will rise up and put down the fiery darts of the enemy. Love can give birth to beautiful moments that will turn into gorgeous memories. Love can multiple and go from one person to the next. I am calling for a multiplication of love in this world. It’s time we passed the love of the Lord around. It is time we became laborers of love whose goal is to make “Jesus famous” by spreading His love.

I want to plant love in the darkest gardens. I want to go around and sow seeds of love in arid soils that need the fertilizing power of love. All it really takes is to let my heart be invaded by God’s love. When we give our hearts to the Lord, love is all we want to distribute. It is the reason for everything and it believes in the impossible. Love is gentle and it is firm at the same time. It is gentle like the Holy Spirit and it is firm like the lion of Judah. It protects and it shields. It encourages and it motivates. It brings light to the darkest times. Today if you are in the middle of a crisis, plant love in the center of your emergency. God is love. He is the One you should be putting in the middle of your situation. How? Pray to Him. Involve Him. Acknowledge Him in all your ways. Thank Him for His love that always makes a way. In the middle of your darkness there is a powerful light and it is the love of God. Your crisis will shrivel under the power of love. Trust God. His love is going to change the tune of your sad song. Stay encouraged!

Some possible obstructions to our prayers

I vacuumed my house the other day. It looked like the vacuum cleaner was working well but then I noticed that some crumbs and some particles were not being picked up. I took the vacuum apart to see what was going on. There was an obstruction somewhere. It took me a while to find it but once I did and I took out what was blocking the way, the vacuum did its job. It made me think of how sometimes in our spiritual lives there is an obstruction. We pray and pray. Our prayers sound fine to us but when we pay close attention, the dust, the problem is not getting picked up. There is an obstruction somewhere that we need to locate. There is something getting in the way of our prayers. There are particles that are left on the floor of our intentions and those particles are leaving our spiritual ground dirty. They need to be dealt with if we want to have a clean floor to lean on and see our prayers answered. Now, I am not saying that this is always the case. Sometimes we don’t see answers to our prayers because it is not God’s timing. Sometimes we pray outside of God’s will. Sometimes the answer is there but it is not obvious to us. When the issue is an obstruction that keeps us from getting a clear path to our answer, there needs to be some time spent scanning our lives to find out what the obstruction is. Holding a grudge, not forgiving someone, jealousy or gossiping are spiritual obstructions that should be brought up to our attention. This is not a popular message but it is an important message. When we are not walking in love in some areas, there is a hurdle in our prayer life. Jesus encouraged us to forgive when we pray. He put unforgiveness right there with prayer. There is a link between the two. Today I am inviting you to find any possible obstruction in your prayer life. I know I must take a deep look in the mirror at times and find the particles that are blemishing my spiritual complexion.

Unforgiveness is one of the main hindrances in our prayer lives. It is the unwillingness or the inability to forgive someone. When you can’t let go of what someone did to you that was wrong, you are making holes in your prayer life. You are allowing negative feelings to pierce your prayer life. You are stepping outside of love in a part of your life and that creates some spiritual disturbance. It creates traffic on the way to some blessings and some answers to your prayers. Again, I am not saying it is always the case. God’s mercy and grace are amazing gifts to us but living in a realm outside of love is living outside of God’s will. Can you think of someone you have not forgiven? If you do, this is what I suggest you do. Ask God to forgive you for not forgiving. Forgive the person. Ask the Spirit of God to help you detach yourself from unforgiveness and pray for the person. Pray that God would bless him or her. Let love be the power that removes the obstruction by praying for the person. Keep at it. Make it a daily prayer. Pray for the person to be blessed. Pray for the person to have a connection with God or to develop a stronger connection with God. Pray for the person to receive peace and joy. Thank God for that person. Forgive, pray, and praise God. That powerful trio will help you release ill feelings, bitterness, and anything else that is negatively impacting your heart.

Jealousy and gossiping are other elements that hinder our prayer lives. Jealousy is wishing we had what someone else has. It is coveting the wrong things. It is also being dissatisfied with what we have. It is basically telling God that what we have is not good enough and we should be given what others have. It is being ungrateful toward God. “God, I don’t like my life. Give me what So and So has” is not a prayer that will be heard. Jealousy is poison. It hurts us more than it hurts the one we are jealous of. It is another way of stepping out of love. Gossiping often comes out of jealousy but it can also pop up on its own. When we talk about people behind their backs, we set ourselves up. We walk on a line that doesn’t lead to love. Our words have power. Gossiping has the power to alienate us from God’s heart. God doesn’t like backbiting and slandering. They are not His language. They are not love-centered. They are obstructions to our prayers. If you know that you have feelings and negative thoughts toward someone, take the high road and take it to God. Be the bigger person and let God of anything that is denting your prayer life. It will change you and it will bless you. Keep praying for others. Put them first when you pray and your prayers will be strong.

The power of your testimony

What does your life say about you? What does your life say about God? What is your testimony? Are you aware that you have a testimony? There is a story that is told through your actions, your words and your thoughts. It is a story that is apparent to the world. The sum of who you are is displayed in that story every day. People are watching, people are taking notes, people are listening to what your testimony has to say. You have the power to make a testimony that praises the Lord or that mirrors the world. Choose the story God wrote for you and live it out. You have a powerful testimony and it is time you let the world see it and read it. What happens to you is not what makes you but how you react and interact with what happens to you is what you are made of. You are a child of God that has the DNA of the Father and you can act, think, love, walk, speak like your Father. You can choose to be like Him or you can choose to be your own person and forge a personality that is not what He wants for you. Today I am here to remind you that you have a powerful testimony and you can choose to lean on the Spirit of God and be the person the Lord designed you to be. Remain in God and He will remain in you. Fill yourself up with the Lord and your testimony will give Him glory. Stick with what truly matters and what truly mattes is that Jesus is glorified through your daily testimony.

I love how the Bible reveals that the testimony of two witnesses is true. God has a plan for you and when you agree with His plan and you trust Him, you become the second witness and the plan is true. Your life is powerful lives when it is God-centered. God has already seen how powerful your life was. He is the number one witness. Now, He is waiting on you to be the second witness and to verify that what He said in His Word about you was true. You and I are the second witnesses. We can testify by staying in line with the Word and staying in faith. Friend, let your life speak about how good God is. Let your life echo God’s kindness. Let your life tell the world that God loves everyone and that He can give peace, joy and freedom. Stand up in the court of life every day and be that second witness that confirms what God’s Word says. Be a witness to God’s greatness. Be a witness to God’s holiness!

The word of your testimony allows you to triumph in life. What you say matters. What you say has power. You can curse and you can bless. You can bring peace or you can bring chaos into your life with your words. Therefore, it is important to know that you are constantly giving an account of your testimony when you speak. When you glorify the Lord through your words, power is released into your life. Praising and worshiping Him through your words and actions are very great ways of giving a positive testimony that honors God. The world needs your positive testimony. The world needs your words of affirmation and your words of hope. What you present to the world goes a long way. Don’t underestimate the power of your testimony. Sound the horn of joy with your actions and your words. Be the reflection of the Lord that the world longs for.

You can be under scrutiny and under a lot of pressure when you bear testimony to the Lord. Not everyone accepts what you tell them and how you shine Jesus into the world. However, the Lord warned us and said that it would happen and He also said we shouldn’t be afraid when persecution takes place. You have to stand firm and keep your testimony strong. Life will try to change the narrative but with the help of the Holy Spirit you can continue to speak of the goodness of God and be the witnesses that don’t waver and that don’t faint under pressure. God has an army of angels that will always assist you. When you stay in faith, everything always works out for the best. Let your testimony be seen every day. Praise the Lord and rejoice over Him always! Stay encouraged!

Honoring God the best way we can

I have been thinking a lot about how I can honor God better. What does honoring someone mean? It means to regard him or her with great respect. It means to recognize that the person has value and is important. If I want to honor God more, I need to show Him even more respect and live my life in a way that exemplifies how I respect Him. There are times during prayer when all I want to do is be on my knees and be in reverence before the Lord. There is no particular reason other than I think He is awesome and He is so good. He deserves my utmost respect and He deserves my attention. I truly believe that honoring God starts with spending time with Him and showing Him that He is worthy of our attention. Acknowledging that there is no substitute for Him and that He means everything is a great start or a great goal. My goal is always to sustain reverence and honor toward God. Honoring God takes on a different meaning when we constantly remind ourselves of what He did on the cross. His sacrifice is unparalleled. What He did for you and me was unheard of and it will never be matched. Can you think of ways you can honor God more every day?

One way we respect our parents and our elders is by listening to what they have to say and obeying them. It seems like an obvious way to honor them and yet we can rebel against them and do our own things. Ignoring their advice and their wisdom can appear to be an appealing option. Why? Our minds are not always in line with our spirits. Our spirits like to do the right thing, our minds like to have a mind of their own. We tend to go with what seems good at the moment and not always consider what is good permanently. Short term solutions don’t give lasting results. However, we can make decisions that align with the wisdom and advice given by our parents and those decisions can turn out to be the best ideas to follow. The Lord is our number one parent. He is our creator and He has the role of the parent who cares about us and who watches over us. His wisdom and His advice are very important. We can’t ignore them and we can’t take them for granted. Honoring God means taking His Word seriously and listening to it. In order to listen to it, we have to make time for it. It’s interesting how when we listen to a lot of sermons and inspirational messages we feel like we have spent time in the Word. We are exposed to it but we need to invest time in it and read it for ourselves. Honoring God with time spent in His Word is the start of true wisdom.

Spending time in the Word gives us the magnificent opportunity to hear from God in a big way. God speaks through His Word and His Spirit. I prayerfully read the Word asking the Holy Spirit to give me revelation. Cooperating and working with the Spirit of God is a nice way to honor Him. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us. He is an amazing gift. When we work with the Spirit and respect Him, we honor God. I used to live a Christian life that didn’t take the Holy Spirit into account and it was a dull life. Embracing the Holy Spirit is honoring God. Think about that. I also believe that sharing God with the world and talking about the great gift from God is a way we can honor God. We can’t keep Him for ourselves. He is too good to be kept a secret. We don’t have to always use words to share Him. Our actions and the expression of His love through us speak volumes. There is so much we can tell the world about our Father. There is so much the world needs to hear and what we do can guide the narrative and write chapters of praise and love toward the One who died for us. If your life talks about God all the time and describes His goodness and His kindness, it is a great testimony. Honoring God with our lives is powerful. Let’s keep our lives in the sanctity of God’s essence by following Him, imitating Him and presenting Him to the world. Let’s honor God as much as we can!
