God is ready

God is ready. God is ready to bless you. God is ready to listen to you. God is ready to speak to you. I think that sometimes we think that God is on standby and He needs more time before He reveals Himself to us. That is how I used to think. God is an ever-present God. He is here now and He will be here tomorrow. He was here yesterday. He has never changed and He has never been more present than today. If we start seeing Him as the God who is always present and always ready, we will reach another level in our faith. God is patient. That is a fact but that doesn’t mean that He is waiting for a while before He interacts with us. We tend to wait for miracles and blessings.

Tomorrow sounds like a more reasonable idea. Blessings can take a while to come to pass but that doesn’t mean that God is not ready to be with us today. When He says we should seek His face, we should read it as “We can seek His face and find Him.” There is no doubt that we ought to wait for certain things. However, let’s not wait to communicate with God. Let’s not miss out on some of today’s blessings. Let’s not expect God to only be ready to talk tomorrow. He is talking to you and me now. He is ready to hear from us and He is ready to love us and to hold us.

God holds us in the palm of His hand. This promise is not reserved for tomorrow. It is in the present tense which shows us that it is happening now. What does that imply? It implies that we are safe in God’s hand today. It implies that God is close to us today. It implies that He is totally ready to protect us and to keep us safe today. We are the ones who need to get on God’s page. He’s been waiting for us to stir up our faith and meet Him here and now. Does this mean that everything we ask for will come today? No. It means that today we can walk in faith. Today we can walk hand in hand with God. Today we can communicate with Him and be highly blessed.

There are many blessings waiting for us today. God is ready to bless us beyond our wildest expectations today. He is ready to shower us with love and with hope. Once I started spending time with God in the here and now, I discovered that there was an amount of love bigger than life that was ready to bless my day, every day. “God might not be ready to talk to me” is what I used to think. It wasn’t an effective way to approach the Lord. It put distance between the Lord and me. God is closer than we think all the time. He is closer than a brother. He is closer than the air we breathe. He is our oxygen and our source of life. Let’s not wait for the source of life to show up tomorrow when He has been giving us life all along.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”* Jesus is the way today. Jesus is the truth today. Jesus is the life today. He is ready to connect us to the Father. He is ready to share His truth. He is ready to be the life we need. Let’s focus on Who He is today. Let’s focus on Him no matter what. Let’s fix our eyes on the One who is ready to be our God today and forever. Let’s be ready to receive Him all the time. Let’s be ready to listen to Him and to talk to Him. When we pray and we seek His face, He listens all the time and He smiles all the time. His love is ready. Think about it! His love is ready for you.

You don’t have to do anything special. You can’t gain His love through your actions. He paid for your sins. He is ready to forgive every time you repent. He is a ready God. He is a willing God. He is an ever-loving God. God is ready to tell you today that you matter to Him. He is ready to show you what that means to Him. He is ready to talk to you about His love for you. He is ready to stay true to His Word. He is ready to be the God you have been waiting for. Wait no more. Be present with God. He has been with you and He will never leave you. Blessings are ready to overtake your life. Have faith in God’s presence today. Have faith in the love that will never go away. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
