Flood your mind with positive words. Flood your mind with positive words from God. Our minds are always filled with thoughts that come from all directions. Some of them are pure and noble thoughts but most of them are negative thoughts. We have to guard our minds and fill them with God’s Word. It sounds like an obvious thing to do but not many people are applying this strong principle. We are what we think about. What we think about can control us and it can lead us to act a certain way. We can’t be passive when it comes to our thoughts. We need to be on the defensive so to speak and anticipate what is going to enter our minds. The best way to do it is to flood our minds with words from the Lord. God knows what thoughts should be ruling our minds and He has given us His Word and the Holy Spirit to help us keep our minds clear of negativity.
The power of words and the power of our thoughts is something that we have to take into consideration every day. Negative thoughts take on many different forms. The enemy knows what makes us tick and he can drop thoughts in our heads that will take us down a rabbit hole. The more we entertain those thoughts, the harder it is to come out of that hole. You and I have the power to put a stop to this avalanche of negativity by staying grounded in the Lord. We ought to prepare our minds by spending as much time as possible in prayer and in the Word of God. When I pray, I get many positive and encouraging messages that help me deal with negative thoughts. That is why it is very important for me to start the day in prayer. I get a download of great words from the Lord. I have an early morning conversation with the Lord that I relive on my way to work. His words impact my thinking and they give me the ability to face what comes my way. I flood my mind with those words as much as possible.
If you start your day with prayer and you are consistent with it, the same thing will happen to you. You will hear what you need for that day or for that week or for a longer period of time. God knows what’s coming and He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows what words to give you and what thoughts to put into your mind. It is then up to you to use what He is giving you. Speaking can be stronger than thinking. Speaking and paying attention to what we say can help us derail the negativity in our heads. Remember that faith comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of God. If you speak the Lord and you listen to what you are saying, you will develop faith in the Word and you will tear down the negative thoughts. Speak God’s Word. Speak hope into your life. Speak blessings. Speak the truth of the Word. Speak about Jesus. Speak about love. Speak about pure and noble things and you will see how your mind will be influenced in a very positive way. Listen to the Word, speak the Word and you will flood your mind with positive thoughts. Stay strong in the Lord. Stay grounded in Him. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
