When Jesus is the reason you do what you do, you can’t go wrong. When Jesus is behind every motive and every intention, you are doing the right thing. If you are always wondering what God’s will is, remember that Jesus being the reason you act, you think and you talk the way you do is always God’s will. Look no further. God’s will is for you to have Jesus as the reason for everything and in everything. Putting Jesus first.
Turning to Jesus first. Following Jesus. Acting like Jesus. Listening to Jesus through His Word and through the Holy Spirit is God’s will. Let Jesus be the reason. Let Him be your motivation. Let Him be your goal. Let Him be your instinct and your intention. Jesus should be the reason. You can choose between many options every day. You can listen to many voices every day. Choose Jesus. Choose His voice. Choose His truth. How do you get to do that?
His voice is found in His Word. Through the pages of the Bible you can read the voice of the Lord and you can see His truth. Be sure to prayerfully read His Word so that the eyes of your understanding can be open. He is His Word and He is love. Read the Word with Jesus in mind. Read the Old Testament and the New Testament with Jesus in mind. Read them with love in mind. Read them with the right reason in mind. Think of Jesus, love and salvation.
Keep your faith in Jesus when you are in the Word. Keep your eyes on Jesus when you are in the Word. That way you will avoid having a man made approach to the Word. Jesus is always the reason. Jesus is always the fuel behind the Word. Love is always the reason. We can have many interpretations of the Word of God. Every one can develop his or her own version. Develop the version of the Lord in your mind and in your heart. Develop the version where love prevails and Jesus is King. He is the ultimate reason behind it all.
We are called to be doers of the Word. Being a doer of the Word is behind a follower of follower of Christ. Being a doer of the Word is living through Christ. It is having Him as the reason why we live. I think we tend to forget that part. Sometimes we become fans of the Word of God without being fans of Jesus. The Word can be an idol without Jesus in it. We justify what we do and what we believe with the Word but we don’t take into consideration that Jesus is the Word. Anyone can justify anything they do through the Scriptures without quoting Jesus. We can actually discriminate and judge others using the Word of God when Jesus is not the reason behind what we do.
Jesus comes first. Jesus writes the reasons why we live. Jesus is the author of our faith and without love, faith is not effective. Let’s keep Jesus in every part of the Bible. Let’s privilege Jesus over our own understanding. Let’s keep love in the middle of all we do. Jesus is the reason why we love others. Jesus is the reason why we have peace and joy. When Jesus is the reason, we are in God’s will and we are doing the right thing. Let’s remain Jesus centered and our lives will be grounded in the truth. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
