Living through Christ

What a blessing it is to have the Lord! What a life we have in Jesus! It is great when we are aware of Him and of the life He bought for us. It is possible to be saved and to have Jesus as our Savior and to never experience Him. Life with Jesus is meant to be lived with Him and through Him but we can choose to live our lives without Him. It is sad but it happens very often. We can’t be part-time believers or selective believers. Jesus becomes a convenience when it is convenient for us.

God is calling us to stay in Christ and to acknowledge Him in all our ways. When we do, we have the best life we can have. We are not immune to difficulties but we have the makeup it takes to face any challenges and to be victorious. Life with Christ is not just about victory. It is about His love and faith. I was telling a friend yesterday about love and faith being the most powerful forces in the universe. When the two of them are bound by Jesus, they are all you need and they are stronger and more powerful than anything else. When you live your life through Christ, love and faith will be your daily bread.

What does your life look like? What do you live for? What are your priorities? What is the center of your life? I mentioned before that even though I was saved, money was a comfort for me for many years. Having a lot of money meant success. A good life for me was a life where money was always present. Without knowing it, I had made money an idol. I didn’t get what life was all about. I also got caught up in the prosperity gospel. I am not saying that God doesn’t want us to do well in life and to have money.

God can supply our needs and give us more than we can expect. He can exceed our expectations and shower us with His riches. However, life through Christ is not life about fortune and riches. Jesus is the biggest fortune we have. He is all the riches we need. He is more than enough. Life through Him is life in obedience to Him and life where following Him is our main goal. It’s not about money. It’s all about Jesus. A successful life is a life lived for the King of kings through the King of kings. What does it mean to live through the King?

When we depend on Jesus and we solely rely on Him, we live through Him. He is our source, our resource and our purpose. Our purpose should be to be Jesus to someone else. We should aim at mirroring His love and all His amazing traits. Living through Him implies imitating Him and letting Him take over our minds and our hearts. Is it easy? It is not but it is feasible. Today I want to encourage you to live through Christ by doing something new. Add something to how you interact with Jesus. It could be talking to Him more or giving Him more of you.

One thing I am working on is allowing Jesus to enter every part of my life. If I worry about something, it shows me I have not given it to Jesus and I try to change that. Life through Christ is about trust and blind faith. You and I have Jesus’ love in us and we have faith. Let’s keep on combining faith and love and being His light to the world. He will always provide and He will always support us. Let’s live through Him every day. Jesus in us is the hope of glory. We can do this. We can live out our salvation in the name of Jesus. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
