I don’t want to just get by. I don’t want to have the mindset of someone who thinks he can barely get by and that is enough. I want to thrive and I want to reach my full potential. I want to grow and I want to learn. I want to grow in the Lord and learn His ways, get familiar with His thinking and share the mind of Christ. In His mind there is no room for lack, no room for barely making it. In His mind we can go from glory to glory when He is the center of our lives. Thriving and making it in this world truly depends on Jesus. It has to do with how much of Jesus we allow in our daily lives and how close we are to Him. When we stay close to Him and He is the focus of our world, we will not just barely make it. We will prosper in every area of our lives. I am not just talking about financial prosperity. God is not eager to make us billionaires.
God is more interested in our hearts and our devotion to Him. He wants to prosper us spiritually and guide us on this journey of His discovery. Many people talk about self-discovery and I believe that self-discovery implies discovering who we are in Christ. Does God want us to prosper financially? I strongly believe that He does but in His Word He warns us against the love of money. Money is a means and not an end. It is not why we live and it shouldn’t be what we pursue in this life. Pursuing Jesus should be what we do every day, all day as much as we can. Friend, we can make it in this life with our dear Lord Jesus. Let’s be thrivers that rely on the Spirit of God. You and I can make it and we can reach high levels in every part of our lives when Jesus is the main part.
You can thrive in this life. Not thrive the way the world describes it but the way the Lord intends it to be. Success is getting saved and having a close relationship with Jesus. Being a doer of the Word and imitating the Lord. Being led by the Spirit. Walking by faith and not by sight and walking in love above all. I want to thrive the way the Lord wants me to thrive. I spend time in the Word of God so I can gain more wisdom and I can follow the path that is set before me. One thing I am more and more aware of is that Jesus wants me to have an abundant life. A life where He is everywhere and a life that is saturated with His love. An abundant life is a life that lacks nothing. A life that is fueled by the love of God. A life that is rooted in Jesus.
That life comes with an insane amount of peace, love, faith, patience, blessings and more. When we embrace the salvation provided by Jesus, we thrive and we go from place to place visiting depots of blessings. “Depots of blessings” are spiritual buildings and fortresses of blessings. They are places where we are safe and secure and where we are constantly blessed. The Lord says that if we abide in Him, we will be blessed. When we abide in Him and we remain in Him, we find ourselves in the depots of blessings. Nothing from the enemy can enter them. We are surrounded by blessings and by peace. Again this happens when we stay in faith and the Lord is our priority.
You can thrive with Jesus. You can have a life like no other. The Lord can take your life and flip it. He can take your life and give it a new sound, a new tune, a new color, a new meaning and a new (positive) twist. Jesus desires for you to have joy and to be able to face whatever comes your way. He won’t give you a life where you will have no problems but He will give you a way to deal with every issue without losing hope and without being destroyed. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
With Jesus on your side not only are you going to be protected but you are also going to win every battle. You are going to make it in this life with the life that He is giving you. You are going to go places that you never thought you could ever reach. It will all start on the inside and it will show on the outside. Abide in the Lord and hang out to Him. God is going to make you a success in this life. Not the way the world thinks of success but the Jesus way. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
