Enjoy life now

I get very excited about God’s promises and about His plans for my life. I have faith and I know that He has great things in store for me and for whoever believes in Him and trusts Him. However, I also trust that I am living my best life now with the Lord. I have great expectations but they shouldn’t take away from today’s blessings. Faith is for the here and now and not just for the future. We are blessed by the Lord today. His favor is on us now. We don’t have to wait until tomorrow to enjoy God’s hand in our lives. His hand is upon our lives now and He is doing great things today. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and the blessings of the Bible are the same yesterday, today and forever. We might not have experienced them yesterday but we can experience them today. One powerful way we can enjoy life today is by enjoying Jesus now. Getting to know Him and making Him a big part of our lives is key. Jesus is here today. He is not going to show up in our lives tomorrow and not be here today. He dwells in us through Hi Spirit and we ought to spend time meditating on that truth. Every single one of us can live out our lives with the Lord in the present. He is in the now as much as He is in the future.

When I first got saved, my life did a 180 and I discovered a peace and a joy that had not existed in my life before. I found a new way of a life and a path that looked bright and promising. Hope entered my life and gave me a reason to hold on to God. God was hope. He was love and He was hope. Love and hope changed my life. Jesus changed my life. I was in 7th Heaven for a while and then the bliss and the peace came to a halt. God did not stop being God. I am the one who got disconnected and who hung up on the many calls the Lord was making. I shifted my thinking. My mind was not renewed enough and I went backwards. I stopped living my life with the Lord because things got tough and I disassociated from hope. Life was too tough for me to consider hope and love as a way of life. Years later I learned that God had been in my heart the whole time but I had stopped engaging with Him because of my circumstances. Salvation doesn’t go away when life throws darts your way. Salvation doesn’t take a break when all seems lost. Salvation is permanent and so is Jesus’ presence. It is ok if we don’t feel Him. He is not in our feelings. He is in our spirit through the Holy Spirit and it is our job to interact with Him and to enjoy life now with Him.

A few days ago when I was praying, I received the reminder about enjoying life today. I got the reminder that Jesus is here today and we should enjoy life now. You might think that there is nothing to enjoy for you right now. Your life might be in shambles and there might be no hope for a better day. Jesus is your hope. Jesus is the One who makes today better. Let Him be your fuel. Let Him be your reason. Shift your focus and spend time worshiping Him and staring at Him. Look at your life through His eyes. He sees potential in you. He sees hope all over your life. He sees a life blessed by His presence. He is there. He is the same. He is loving you now and you should be celebrating His love. Enjoy life now. Enjoy Jesus now. Don’t wait until things get better for you to breathe and enjoy yourself. Ask the Lord to show you how you can make the most of today. Today has a lot to offer you because it is the day the Lord has made. You are highly blessed and highly favored. Start declaring that if you have not been doing it. It is a powerful truth that can change the way you think and that can have a very positive impact on your life. Every moment counts and your life in Christ is a big blessing. Thank God for your life in Christ. Thank God for your salvation. Thank God for Jesus. Thank God that He has reasons for you to enjoy life now. Make the most of it. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
