When I was praying early the other morning, all I could hear were words of encouragement. I needed that pep talk and it came rushing into my mind and touched my spirit. God knows what we need and He will give us the strength to face the day when we give Him first place first thing in the morning. He gave me hope, peace and reassurance. I kept hearing, “I have never let you down.” It is a statement that I trust and believe but I need to hear it from time to time. I need to keep it in my mind. I need to let it be my daily reality. My reality is that the Lord has never let me and He has never left my side. He has been faithful. He has been great. He has been awesome. He has been God to me and I can’t ignore that. The enemy has tried to discredit God and to tell me that I have had to fend for myself. That is not true. God has fought my battles and He has stood by my side. He is there with you, friend. You might have heard this message many times but you need to hear it again. God has not let you down. He has been faithful.
The prayer became more intense as the words of hope started to flow more and more. I was getting a refresher on who God is in my life and what He has done. Going down memory lane and looking at the greatness of God in our lives is a great practice. The Lord took me down the lane of hope by reminding me of how blessed I had been. It’s easy to look at what we don’t have or what is going wrong. That is not where our eyes should be. They should be focusing on Jesus because He is perfect. My life is far from being perfect but I serve a perfect God who makes things perfect. He wants us to see His goodness and His faithfulness. That is where our focus should be. He has not let us down and He is not about to start today. If you need some encouragement today, close your eyes and thank the Lord. Get into prayer mode and listen to what He has to say. God is there with you and He has a lot to say about how much He loves you and how powerful He is so you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about. I came out of that prayer session very refreshed and very confident. Not confident in myself but confident that the Lord who has never left me was not going to let me down. I might be facing trials and tribulations but the Lord is fighting for me. He is going to do the impossible again in my life. He is going to do the impossible again for you, friend.
What is there to worry about if God is not going to let us down? Nothing. There is nothing to worry about. We have to fight the negative thoughts that aim at making us doubt and fear. Fear is an enemy that has easy access to our minds and to our hearts. It needs to be banned and it needs to be rejected. The ban and the rejection will take place several times and we ought to be resilient. I ask Jesus to help me resist fear. I praise Jesus and I can resist fear. I lift up the name of Jesus and it puts fear down. The Lord does not let us down. We let ourselves down when we don’t take a stand against the enemy. We should always be actively seeking God’s face and praising Him. Our praises will reveal how God is not letting us down. Remember that the Lord inhabits our praises. When we praise Him, we see Him. When we praise Him, we hear Him. When we praise Him, we understand Him better. When we praise Him, we break the power of the enemy on our minds and on our hearts. When we praise Him, we have the victory. Let’s praise Him more than we avoid Him. Doubting God and fearing for our lives is avoiding God. He is right there, friend. He will not let you down. May God bless you and protect you and remember that He will always love you!
