You’ve got this!

Catch phrases and slogans such as “Just do it” and “Because you’re worth it” have always caught my attention. They are motivational and they inspire people. Motivational phrases that are not slogans have become part of our every day lingo. My favorite one these days is “You’ve got this.” Today friend, I am here to tell you that “you’ve got this.” Whatever you are waiting for, whatever miracle you are expecting, you’ve got it. It might not look like it now. Your life might have fallen apart but God’s reality is “you’ve got this.” In God’s eyes everything has been taken care of. He is in control of your destiny and His provisions are endless. Think about what Jesus did on the cross for you. He died for your sins but He also provided eternal life and life to the fullest. John 10:10 is a verse that I am going to ask you to meditate on until it becomes deep truth to you. This is a verse that should be as real to as your first and last name. It is a verse that explains who the enemy is and what the Lord did about it. You can divide it right in the middle. The first part shows what the plans of the enemy are and the second part denotes God’s plans: “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” (John 10:10). Before Jesus became your Savior, the enemy was out to get your life by stealing your true blessings, killing your joy and destroying your life. Now that you have a relationship with Jesus you have the right to enjoy life and to have it in abundance until it overflows. The enemy used to say that you wouldn’t amount to much but now the Lord is telling “You’ve got this.” All the promises in the Bible are yours. You have the right to them. Make them yours by confessing that you’ve got this. When the enemy says you are going to fail in life tell him that “you’ve got this” in Jesus’ name. If the enemy has stolen anything from you, claim it back. God will give you double for your trouble. This promise is reflected in Isaiah 61:7; “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” The enemy is the author of shame and the Lord is the author of your salvation. Your salvation includes remission of sins and life in abundance. Isn’t this good news? Rejoice over it. Have a “I’ve got this attitude” all the time. When I have a need, I pray about it once and then I thank God that I’ve got it. I have been waiting for certain things for three years now but my daily confession is that they are mine and I thank the Lord for them. There is no doubt in my mind that they will materialize on God’s timing. Things are going to work out for you just fine my friend. Jesus’ got you and you can be sure that you’ve got this! Suggested reading: Zechariah 9:12; Psalm 16:11; 2 Corinthians 4:17
